    I’m normally very partial to Canon’s offering, but in this case I’ll have to agree that the 430 should take a back seat to the LZ5 in your options.

    I would probably not consider the other two as options.

  2. The Panasonic is the best choice. DMC-LZ5.

    Because of its megaOIS and its technologies used.

  3. I’m impressed that the Panasonic has image stabilization in this price range. That, with their 37-222 mm (equiv) lens, seems to put this camera in a different class than the others on your list and I think that’s the one I would buy.
